What you'll learn in AWS SysOps Associate:

Learn to create automated deployments of networks and systems on AWS cloud platform. This self-paced online training covers the AWS tools and services to manage configuration and deployment, as well as industry best practices. 

This course will prepare you to take the take the AWS exam (SOA-C01) and earn the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate credential.

Topics covered:

• AWS infrastructure features such as Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Elastic Load Balancing, and Auto Scaling from the command line
• AWS CloudFormation and other automation technologies
• Deploying VPCs with Amazon VPC fusing the AWS Management Console
• Deploying Amazon EC2 instances using command line calls
• Monitoring Amazon EC2 instances and other AWS services
• Managing user identity, AWS permissions, and security
• Resource consumption management iusing tools such as Amazon CloudWatch and Trusted Advisor
• Configuri EC2 instances with load balancing
• Troubleshooting a basic AWS CloudFormation stack definition

This training also includes:

• Access to over 90 hands-on Challenge Labs to practice real world exercises safely. With labs, you can validate your skills and be confident you have the knowledge to pass the certification exam.
• Two 30-minute one-on-one coaching sessions with an AWS expert. In these personalized sessions, you can ask questions and learn directly from an experienced coach, as well as confirm you have the skills needed to pass the exam the first time.

Pre-requisites:

• AWS Cloud Practitioner course is recommended

Recommended AWS Knowledge

• Minimum of 1year of hands-on experience with AWS
• Experience managing/operating systems on AWS 
• Understanding of the AWS tenets –architecting for the cloud
• Hands-on experience with the AWS CLI and SDKs/API tools 
• Understanding of network technologies as they relate to AWS
• Understanding of security concepts with hands-on experience in implementing security controls and compliance requirements   

Recommended General IT Knowledge

• 1–2 years of experience as a system sadministrator in a systems operations role
• Understanding of virtualization technology 
• Monitoring and auditing systems experience
• Knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., DNS, TCP/IP, and firewalls)
• Ability to translate architectural requirement
